Abstract(s)
The first part of this contribution, which draws on the Main Registry of the Dietrichsteins (the Main Treasury in Mikulov), kept in the Moravian Provincial Archives in Brno, is devoted to the work of Franz Anton Grimm in the service of Prince Karl Maximilian von Dietrichstein. The records of receipts and details of his journeys enable us to follow the construction, consultation, and revision activities of the Prince's engineer and architect Grimm in the years 1744–1767. The second part of the contribution presents new archive sources relating to alterations made in 1747 to the Capuchin church of St. Francis Seraph in Mikulov, which today no longer exists. According to the receipts that have been preserved, work on the decoration of this church was done by the Viennese painter Paul Troger, the sculptor Ignaz Lengelacher, the master mason Andreas Haaberhauer, the Dietrichstein court carpenter Georg Trößler, and the upholsterer Joseph Straubhar.
