Abstract(s)
Our – let us say European – hearing is determined by lots of types of deciphering music. This study analyses both natural physiological borders of human ears, and historically based modes which helped composers as well as their public to understand musical pieces of art (such as structural hearing, regression, synergy, hearing perceptually etc.). With comprehensive knowledge of musical hearing and with solid orientation in many sorts of listening strategies we can better transmit musical activities in the pedagogical process. This feature is one of the main goal of the project "Different Hearing", which since 2001 has been developed by the Department of the Music Education of the Faculty of Education of Palacký University in Olomouc in cooperation with the Faculty of Music of the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno.
