Based on the prosaic works by the Slovak authors Karol Horák, Peter Karvaš and Stanislav Štepka and on their (radio) plays a comparative method is applied to study the changes of their style in these genres. The attention is concentrated on the intertextualify, on the use of words, on the feeling of tension in the prosaic texts when they change into a (radio) play
