Abstract(s)
This text deals with the concept of the Sabbath as it was constructed by demonologists in the late Middle Ages which was closely related to the persecution of witches in this period. The inspiration for this text was the work of Carlo Ginzburg, which is compared with the works of other authors such as Muchembled, Behringer, Di Nola, and others. Within the context of the Sabbath, one must account for the period's conception of the devil and the woman, and how this concept is reflected in the myth of the Sabbath.
