Abstract(s)
The article deals with the finds of the graves of metallurgists from the Migration Period, with an emphasis on the territory of Central Europe, but also on the surrounding area. It points to a special funerary equipment that symbolizes a distinct social status of the buried individual. Although the metalworking crafts were numerous, as it is evident in the number of metal objects from the period in question, the occurrence of graves with metallurgical gear is rather exceptional. The article follows the author's previous study on the social status of metallurgists based on the so-called Barbarian codes.
