Abstract(s)
Okrem týchto stavieb boli v areáli hradu preskúmané aj hospodárske objekty – kamenné zahĺbené sýpky so šijovým vstupom.
The first half of the 15th century marked a watershed in the history of the Devín castle: at this time it was acquired by the Garays, an aristocratic family. It was provided with a fortification, and several residential buildings and outbuildings were constructed on the site. Apart from single-space houses there were also two- and three-room buildings. The majority of them had a combined timber-stone frame, i.e. a stone base and log walls. The remains of heating devices have been found in three residential buildings. Several buildings were made exclusively of stone. These include an outbuilding located in the courtyard of the central castle area, containing several rooms, the construction of which took place in several phases, and an ammunition storehouse and a guardhouse with a sunken cellar space in the lower castle area. Apart from these buildings, stone sunken silos with neck-type entrances were investigated on the site.
