The article deals with the attitude of Chizhevsky (1894-1977), the philosopher and philologist, to a formalism and dependence of the ideology of formalism on philosophic system by Husserl. The author examined three aspects of that attitude and dependence: 1) Chizhevsky as a student of Husserl; 2) philosophic literary studies by Chizhevsky; 3) formalistic works by Chizhevsky and his remarks about Russian formalists.
