The spiritual hymnal was the most popular genre in the 17. and 18. century. The only printed hymn book Cantus Catholici functioned in the Slovak baroque catholic background. We try to identify the hymn book's sources in this paper and at the same time we want to point out the intertextual shifting and also the interliterary relations between the Slovak and the Czech literary background of this period.
