- Studium erbovních privilegií vždy přináší řadu zajímavých poznatků, protože se jedná o velmi specifický typ historického dokumentu. V předbělohorském období docházelo k častému povyšování vrchnostenských vsí na městečka a městeček na města, čímž byla omezována moc měst královských. Soubor listin byl podroben výzkumu zejména z hlediska diplomatického, kdy cílem bádání bylo zjistit, zda existoval obecný formulář. Nemenší mírou se však publikace věnuje heraldické stránce listin, zejména popisům udělovaných znaků. Ukazuje se, že německé popisy byly často přesnější a ucelenější než české. Unikátní součástí knihy je poté regestář, tedy soupis obsahů listin ve zkrácené a rozšířené formě.
- Study of patents of arms always brings interesting results because of their uniqueness as historical documents. We can watch changes in status of recipients of the charters, villages were often elevated to market towns and market towns to towns, what reduced economic power of royal cities in Pre-White-Mountain period. The charters were searched from diplomatic point of view, the universal formulaic pattern was sought. I also made thorough research of blazons. It showed German ones were more precisely done than the Czech ones. Very important part of the book is an overview of the abstracts of the charters.
